So, for once I actually tried to make something for a nation's birthday (even though I'm a little late in the time-zone I live in ). I chose the Italies' because one of the prizes to the placeholders of my contest from last fall requested an Italy brothers drawing from me, thus I figured that since their birthday was closing in I'd kill two birds with one stone. So here's my little celebration of the Italies' birthday.
When I was going to colour this picture I got stumped on one thing. How the hell was I going to go about shading the cake?! I knew nothing about shading cakes, however I managed I think.
This picture took me about an entire afternoon and two full evenings to make. I'm quite pleased with the end result.
