Pandora's Legacy - My Keyblade (Lineart)
Here's the lineart for a Keyblade that I designed for myself. It took me an evening and an afternoon to complete. And people wonder why I take so long in between to produce digital art... However, I think I'm finally getting the hang of using the pen tool to make my outlines. I'm very pleased with the final outcome of this lineart. :)
The basic shape is that of a katana. The handle is that of a katana and the blade sort of resembles the blade of a katana. Then comes the teeth of the Key part which are spades because I really like spades. The tentacle vine thingies that surround the blade are just for decoration and to add detail, and the moons on the guard and the handle represents my fondness of the moon and the mythology surrounding the moon. And finally the charm, which might seem odd and out of place, but it's a Rose of Sharon and the reason it's the charm is because it's the national flower of South Korea - where I was born.
The coloured version will be up as soon I've finished it.
