Aletha Driss (Coloured)

After yet another 15 hrs+ I'm done with the colouring of my Aletha Driss OC for the Detective Conan universe! I'm really pleased with it overall. Though, she was supposed to have a light tan, now that I look at the finished product, she looks more like she's got a dark tan, almost like Heiji. Oh well, she's got an excuse, she's from America and not Japan, so yeah! XD
I tried my hand at the Detective Conan art style for the colouring and shading, though, I don't think it looks that much like, but at least I tried! The hair shine I like, I just don't know about the shading of it. The eyes I'm especially proud of. They came out really well. :)
The colouring for this picture went pretty awkwardly. I did the basic colouring like I normally do, basically from hair down to the toes in order, but then when I shaded it, stuff went a little askew. I began with the shoes and worked my way up instead of the other way around, which I usually do, and then I finished with the hair, which was the biggest headache to do. I also ended up doing the shine before I did the shading for it, which goes against all I do normally. So yeah, the shading process was very weird for me. XD
The Detective Conan art style usually involves shading on the clothes as well, but I decided to skip it because it looked better without the shine on them, except for the shoes and the leather strips. I got a sense of the textures on the clothes better that way, but maybe that's just me? XD
When I did the shading I also imagined her standing in a sunsetty place with the sun coming from diagonally from behind, hence why the shading is the way it is. I hope it was relayed properly. :)
Disclaimer:
I don't own Detective Conan
I only own Aletha Driss here.
