Casual Tomboy (Pencil Art)

Yay for me~ I colored my sketch~ And I had quite fun doing it too~
The trousers did come out a little bit too yellow than I had wanted, but they work.
It took me forever to settle on that hair color. At first I had planned black, but I realized that it'd be too much black if I did that. And I didn't want it to be burgundy either or red because I'd already used quite a lot of warm colors, such as yellow and brown and I had already planned for the bag to be red. Then a lightbulb lit up in my head and I was like: Green! Let's go dark green! It didn't turn out quite as dark as I had expected but I'm still very pleased and I think a really dark green would've ruined it.
I actually quite like how the green shading, shining and gradient turned out in the hair and I'm really pleased with that part~
All of the black articles were a PAIN to color because there's basically no way of shading or shining with black when using colored pencils. Also it hides the lead lines of the lineart. I had planned for the gloves to be all pitch black but I quickly realized that that was impossible to achieve with colored pencils. In Photoshop? Sure. Pencils? No.
Overall I'm quite pleased with the finished product. BUT! I shall NEVER! EVER! Accept that awful piece of disastrous pattern that was supposed to be a tartan pattern, on the bag! It is a mess and it's just horrendous and hideous! I thought it'd be easier to make but no, and that awful thing is what I ended up with. It does NOT look like a tartan bag no matter how long or how much or even how I look at it, and no matter from what angle it's most definitely NOT a tartan pattern! DX
You have to squint at it from several meters away for it to slightly resemble a tartan pattern, and perhaps not even then.
